Koei announces GameCube and GBA title

Koei plans to release titles for both the GameCube and Game Boy Advance based on the Chinese epic Fengshen Yanyi.

Koei has announced it will release titles for the both the Nintendo GameCube and the Game Boy Advance based on the Chinese epic Fengshen Yanyi. Battle Fengshen for the GameCube is an action game similar to the Dynasty Warriors series for the PlayStation 2, but it features comical character designs. In the game, players can select from one of four characters and play through eight stages. The game has also been announced for the PS2.

The other title, Magical Fengshen, is a role-playing game for the Game Boy Advance. These two titles will be compatible with each other through the use of the GBA link cable, allowing usage of the same items and weapons as well as access to additional scenarios.

Battle Fengshen for the GameCube and Magical Fengshen for the Game Boy Advance are scheduled for a spring release in Japan. Koei has released games in the past, such as the Romance of Three Kingdoms and games in the Dynasty Warrior series.
