Swedish publisher Paradox Interactive announced today that the real-time strategy PC game Knights of Honor has gone gold and will be hitting American shelves on May 10. The game is rated E +10 for Everyone Ten and Older and will retail for $39.99.

In Knights of Honor, players take on the role of the guiding spirit in charge of a European nation during the Middle Ages. They must create a collective of talented knights to rule and conquer the land while balancing the typical empirical concerns: economy, diplomacy, and military.

Paradox Interactive is the publisher of Europa Universalis and the ambitious World War II simulator Hearts of Iron II. Knights of Honor is the first game from Bulgarian developer Black Sea Studios.
