Amazon Prime Day 2019 is over and done with, but the online retail giant wasn't the only retailer with lots of deals this week. GameStop recently launched a huge summer sale that ran through Prime Day and is still live, bringing numerous deals on games for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

GameStop's Game Days Summer Sale runs for two full weeks; it began on July 7 and will go on through July 20. This is GameStop's largest sale of the season, and it's a good chance to snag some relatively new games at a discount, such as Kingdom Hearts 3, The Division 2, and Assassin's Creed Odyssey, all three of which are available for just $20 on both PS4 and Xbox One.

Select consoles and accessories are discounted, including Xbox One wireless controllers for 20% off and GameCube-style, Nintendo Switch-compatible wireless controllers for $40. You'll also receive a free Starlink starter pack if you buy a Nintendo Switch and a free $50 GameStop gift card if you buy any Xbox One console. If you're in need of a new gaming headset, a few solid options are available at a discount, including the HyperX Cloud Alpha Pro for $85 (usually $100) and the Turtle Beach 700 Premium for $120 (usually $150).

You can also save big on select toys, collectibles, and apparel in GameStop's Summer Sale. Select Amiibo are buy one, get one 50% off, and all Kingdom Hearts and Fallout collectibles are 40% off, to name just a few of the current deals. See more details below!

@TurboGraphix: I couldn't agree with you more. I didnt see the new PS4 part but either way I agree HUGE miss and i dont know about firing someone but clearly someone at GameSpot needs to redo this article and get the info right. Hell i got very confused and PlayStation Lifestyle website ALSO has the same misleading info. They had ONE job lol. But they're human and they make mistakes but it's a mistake that can be fixed. Will it? Prob not but you never know.

Just bare in mind its GameStop…so whenever there’s a “deal”, there’s always a catch…

Here’s my quick guide:

-Wear a respirator mask; as there will be a very offensive odor from the carpet never being cleaned or replaced, and all the sweaty gamers with less than stellar hygiene.

-Be prepared to answer stupid questions such as: “Would you like a disc protection warranty?”, “Would you like to subscribe for (whatever they’re offering at the time.. I try not to listen)”, “Would you like a bag for that?”

-Be wary of “new” merchandise that’s absent of its factory wrapping or looks as though its been opened or mishandled; as it is then no longer considered “new”, and should at least demand a discount… but their employees are trained hustlers & will tell you otherwise.

-Don’t shop at GameStop.

I JUST called GameStop and it's 12:06PM here in Connecticut on the East Coast and while most of the deals seem ok BOTH GameSpot and PlayStation Lifestyle websites have $225 listed down as a trade-in credit towards a Iphone 7 plus or ps4 or nintendo switch, but the guy at GameStop told me theres def absolutely no $225 trade-in credit. the most youd get is a $25 trade-in credit. And he said he has no idea where these websites got their info from. But yea theres def no $225 credit. GameSpot and PlayStation Lifestyle need to get their information corrected. Other than that the deals on the other stuff looks good to me.

@ffdp_2019: The $225 credit its towards a new ps4 only. It clearly says it on the gamestop website. Whoever wrote this article is an idiot or whoever gave the journalist the info. That is a completely different situation, how did they miss that? IDK.

Also, the employees prob not allowed to talk about Upcoming sales. But I'm with you on the wrong info, Like i said this one of the most misleading articles I've seen. It's in clear sight.

@TurboGraphix: Yea the guy said didnt say anything about $225 towards a new system only used i guess. But regardless someone needs to get off their lazy ass and re-edit the article because its VERY misleading. PlayStation Lifestyle also needs to re-do their article but i doubt it will happen.

I cannot even remember the last time I shop at Gamestop? Oh I remember now, I went total digital gaming in 2013 and never ever look back.

One of the deal sites I check out from time to time also listed THIS under part of the console offers section:

Get a new PlayStation 4 1TB System for as low as $25 or $125 for a PlayStation 4 Pro 1TB System when you trade

Hopefully it combines with the console trade in offers and allows me to get a new 1TB PS4 slim (a lot of my local Gamestops have the Days Of Play one still since I installed a 2TB) for $25 after trading in my 2016 slim for $175 (after putting in the one 500 GB HDD I have sitting here). Though I'll likely check out the full details of the deal before then with the people at the one store I've been hitting up a lot lately as that blurb above seems like it's missing some verbiage at the end there.
