Announced only days before the start of E3 2004, Krome Studios' King Arthur is an action adventure game based on the upcoming Jerry Bruckheimer movie of the same name. The game is in development for all current-generation consoles and is scheduled for release toward the end of this year.

In the game you'll have the option to relive the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table as one of five different upgradable characters: Arthur, Lancelot, Guinevere, Tristren, or Bors. Each of the playable characters in the game will boast unique weapons, special moves, and combos, and you'll have the option to team up with a friend in the game's two-player cooperative mode should you wish to do so. Characters in the game will feature the likenesses of the actors playing them in the movie, which stars the likes of Clive Owen and Keira Knightly.

All of the environments in the game will purportedly be photo-realistic, and Konami is also promising that the game will boast seamless transitions between movie clips and in-game action. We'll bring you more information on King Arthur as soon as it becomes available.
