Kindgom Come: Deliverance smashes Kickstarter Goal, coming to PC, Mac, Linux, and (possibly) next-gen

Medieval (but with no fantasy) RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance has sailed past its Kickstarter goal in less than two days.

The game, which hopes to make it to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 alongside PC, Mac, and Linux, asked for £300,000 to be funded, but is currently sitting at £332,558. The funding period runs until February 20, so it's likely that the game will accrue a sizable chunk of cash.

Backers who invest £15 or more will get access to the game when it's out, with additional donation tiers also doling out pre-release play and other goodies.

Kingdom Come is scheduled to be released in three acts, with the first released in December 2015--though things could change depending on how development progresses.

GameSpot's Kevin VanOrd sounded quite excited after having a look at the game earlier this week.

It's great to see this PC/Mac/Linux game achieve it's funding so quickly. I think the whole idea of the game is refreshing, so I say good luck to them.

A full game for all those platforms and they ask 300k? This is funny, I only recently saw the video and backlash of the Smosh Youtube Channel where they asked 250k for a mobile game...

@DiamondDM13 I think they needed the 300k benchmark to convince their private investor (already invested 1.5m I believe) that the game does have an audience to cater to. There was doubt, seeing as every publisher they pitched the game to turned it down. Now that they've reached their milestone, their private investor will continue to invest in their game.

I have a feeling this game wont deliver on it's promises. A lot of the ideas behind alternate playstyles just sounds like what we've been doing in games for a long while now.

We'll know in 2 full years.

A second time with that title. Game is not even confirmed for XOne and PS4, the developers only wish to make it for those systems, but it is confirmed for PC, Linux and Mac.
