He most recently served as chief marketing officer for gaming peripherals manufacturer SteelSeries, where he oversaw professional team sponsorships worldwide and managed partnerships with the industry's best-known brands. He worked for SteelSeries in the company's home headquarters in Denmark and, most recently, in the United States. Under his leadership, the company's revenues surged from less than $1 million to more than $77 million annually due to innovative word-of-mouth and eSports community-building strategies.Rom joined SteelSeries from XplayN.com, the biggest competitive gaming website in Denmark, where he oversaw more than 40 editorial and administrative staff.
