Despite its namesake, Guerrilla Games is going for maximum visibility with its upcoming PlayStation 3-exclusive Killzone 3. Today, the Sony subsidiary revealed a decidedly attention-grabbing $130 limited-edition package for its upcoming first-person shooter.

When it launches alongside the standard version of Killzone 3 February 22, the Helghast Edition of the sci-fi first-person shooter will pack in a replica mask and helmet of the series' signature Helghast armies. While the headgear is the centerpiece of the extra goodies, the collector's edition will also include a 6.5-inch articulated Cloaking Helghast Marksman action figure and an art book.

The Helghast Edition will also include a voucher to download the game's soundtrack and a dynamic theme from the PlayStation Store, as well as access to a pair of Killzone 2 multiplayer maps and perks for the first 24 hours of the game's multiplayer action, such as double experience points and access to all weapons and abilities. The map pack will also be available to gamers who preorder the regular version of Killzone 3 through participating retailers.

As the name suggests, Killzone 3 will serve as a direct sequel to 2009's critically lauded Killzone 2. In last year's title, the Interplanetary Strategic Alliance took the fight to the Helghan homeworld, where it achieved a measure of success against the Nazi-esque civilization that invaded the human colony of Vekta in the 2004 original.

Killzone 3 will introduce jetpack gameplay to the sci-fi shooter series, giving the ability to thrust skyward for a limited period of time. It will also add full support for 3D TVs, as well as Sony's motion-sensing PlayStation Move peripheral.
