A new teaser for the Child's Play spin-off show Chucky has been released. The series is set to premiere on SyFy and USA Network in the fall.

The teaser is short, but very effective. It shows the possessed killer doll Chucky being constructed, with the caption "it's time to reconnect with an old friend." The teaser ends with the distinctive voice of Chucky actor Brad Dourif shrieking "I always come back!" Check it out below:

Chucky will be written and produced by Don Mancini, who created the franchise back in the 1980s. It was recently announced that Jennifer Tilly will reprise her role Tiffany Valentine from four of the previous movies. The cast will also include Devon Sawa (Final Destination), Zackary Arthur (Transparent), Teo Briones (Ratched), Alyvia Alyn Lind (Daybreak), and Bjorgvin Arnason (The Seventh Day).

The show's synopsis reads, "after a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town's hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies--and allies--from Chucky's past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll's untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster."

Mancini recently confirmed that the series has now started production. It's unconnected to the 2019 reboot movie, which starred Mark Hamill as Chucky and was made without Mancini's involvement.
