TOKYO--Capcom has dated the release of Killer 7 for the PlayStation 2 and GameCube in Japan for June 9. The game will be priced at 6,800 yen ($63). The game will be released in North America on June 7.

Killer 7 was originally set for release in late 2003 in Japan, but the game--produced by Resident Evil and Devil May Cry creator Shinji Mikami and written by Michigan's Goichi Suda--has seen its ship date repeatedly pushed back. Killer 7 was originally being developed as a GameCube-exclusive title.
