Kill la Kill The Game: IF Story Mode Revealed In New Gameplay Video

Ryuko and Satsuki have bigger enemies than their mother.

Arc System Works has released a new 15-minute gameplay video for Kill la Kill The Game: IF, showcasing the game's story mode. It seems to follow the same beats as the anime, with a couple of notable differences.

The video opens with the ruthless Satsuki Kiryuin standing high and mighty above the students of Honnouji Academy, looking down on new student and rebel Ryuko Matoi. From there we see matchups similar to that of the anime, including the four-pillar fight scene between Ryuko and Honnouji Academy's elite four: Hoka Inumuta, Ira Gamagori, Nonon Jakuzure, and Uzu Sanageyama.

Kill la Kill The Game: IF's story mode will follow Satuski's perspective as the events unfold, and instead of the ultimate series antagonist Ragyo Kiryuin, the game unveils an even greater threat. Check out the gameplay video below.

Kill la Kill The Game: IF is being developed by Japanese studio APLUS and published by prolific fighting game studio Arc System Works, and launches on July 26 for Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS4.
