Keanu Reeves' Johnny Silverhand Is Playable In Cyberpunk 2077
The final Night City Wire presentation for Cyberpunk 2077 opened with a closer look at its biggest star.
CD Projekt Red presented the final Night City Wire for Cyberpunk 2077 before launch (read our Cyberpunk 2077 review), and opened with a showstopping look at its star. Keanu Reeves' character Johnny Silverhand has been the face of the game since he was revealed at E3, and the latest trailer shares a lot more detail on the character. Excitingly, Johnny Silverhand also is playable in the game.
The trailer shows Silverhand playing in his band, and details his apparent death and reemergence. Some segments of the trailer also showed Silverhand as playable, based on some first-person action that showed his iconic arm. In our in-depth Cyberpunk hands-on, Phil Hornshaw said that these gameplay sequences are reliving Silverhand's memories from his perspective.
The segment was followed by a lengthy look behind-the-scenes featurette with Keanu Reeves, talking about his experiences with voiceover and motion capture. The presentation also covered more soundtrack details, as well as Stadia functionality and digital goodies.
For more on Cyberpunk 2077, we also took a deeper look at how the studio designed the sounds of the future, and made things weird with a cyberpunk sex scene.
