Will Keanu join the Fast And Furious universe?

From Speed and The Matrix to John Wick, Keanu Reeves has starred in some of most-loved action movies of the past two decades. It has now been revealed that he has been in talks to join another high profile action series--the Fast and Furious movies.

Chris Morgan, who has written five of the previous Fast and Furious films, as well as this year's spin-off Hobbs and Shaw, stated that he and Reeves have spoken about the actor playing a role in the series. "I sat down with him and we're talking about," Morgan told Screenrant. "I wanted him to be in the Fast universe for a very long time. We're just trying to find... the hardest thing is always time and competing schedules and then designing the right thing together. My fervent desire is to bring him into this franchise for sure."

This isn't the first time that Reeves has been linked to the series. In August, Dwayne Johnson revealed that Reeves was initially in talks to appear in Hobbs and Shaw as the leader of the movie's terrorist group Eteon, before the decision was made not to reveal the character's identity.

The currently-untitled ninth Fast and Furious movie is set for release in May next year, with Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris all reprising their roles. Johnson previously stated that he won't appear in this one, but in a recent Instagram post he suggested that he and Diesel had patched up their relationship following a rumored feud while making 2017's Fate of the Furious.
