Lovers of all things wacky can't wait to get their paws on Namco's We Love Katamari, the sequel to 2004's zany cult-favorite Katamari Damacy. The PlayStation 2 game won't ship to North American retailers until September 20, but eager gamers who take time out of their cosplay can head over to the game's new Web site for the latest updates.

Visitors to the portal will be immediately inundated with the game's trademark visuals, a combination of Sanrio simplicity and 1960s pop art. Gamers will also be introduced to the bumbling character known as the King of All Cosmos, a leotard-wearing omniscient being, whose disembodied head is often accompanied by a bad-trip (or great trip, depending on how one looks at it) backdrop.

The site gives the lowdown on the sequel's story and gameplay, and it features some downloads, such as colorful desktop wallpapers. A desktop buddy, e-cards, and screensavers are listed as "coming soon." Those inspired by Katamari's visuals can also compete in a fan art contest, where winners will be awarded special Katamari-themed prizes.

We Love Katamari follows the Prince of All Cosmos and his cousins as they once again attempt to maneuver sticky balls around various locations to collect bits and pieces of Earth. This year's edition will feature a cooperative two-player mode, as well as a slew of new levels to tumble around.
