Colorado-based game developer NetDevil has announced that it is nearing completion of a new upgrade for Jumpgate, its massively multiplayer online space game. The upcoming patch will add a number of new features to the game, including new alien enemies, new technologies, a new sector, and a variety of new ships, equipment, and bug fixes.

The company also announced that it is now offering multiple subscription payment options, including PayPal, standard credit cards, checks, money orders, and a number of other methods through Paybycash.com.

Jumpgate, a massively multiplayer sci-fi space simulation that incorporates a number of role-playing elements, such as character development and levels, was launched in September by 3DO and NetDevil. The game is set in a persistent online universe where players can join one of three different competing factions and engage in trade, combat, and a variety of other activities.
