NDA Productions, a division of Vivendi Universal, has signed a publishing agreement with UK-based Rebellion for Judge Dredd vs. Judge Death, its upcoming first-person shooter, according to a report on gaming news site Blue's News. The game is based on the Judge Dredd sci-fi comic strip, and it will let players assume the role of Judge Dredd on a variety of missions set in the streets of the Mega-City One metropolis. It will feature a new storyline designed to mesh with the comic, and it will feature a number of recognizable characters from the Judge Dredd stories. The history of Dredd will also play a central role in the game, since players who just blast their way through situations will face the repercussions of their actions.

Judge Dredd vs. Judge Death is scheduled for release on the PC in 2003. We'll post more information about the game as it becomes available.
