It's all about numbers in the Madden NFL 24 launch trailer. From Josh Allen's physical traits to Micah Parsons sack totals, the video focuses on how digits are so important to football--which makes perfect sense in the game of inches.

Madden 24's launch trailer also highlights what EA is calling SAPIEN technology, which basically means more realistic character models. The video cuts between the real versions of Allen, Parsons, Justin Jefferson, and Sauce Gardner and their digital counterparts. We get to see the Bills quarterback stiff-arm an opponent and the Jets star cornerback perform a pass breakup.

Jefferson is one of Madden 24's best players, belonging to the exclusive 99 overall club. Meanwhile, though Allen is the cover star for the game, he's the third-best quarterback by overall rating at 94. Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow take the first two spots, respectively.

An NFL veteran is actually leading Madden 24's development team as production director. Former offensive lineman Clint Oldenburg talked to GameSpot about his transition from the field to game design.

Madden 24 comes out August 18 worldwide. But preordering the Deluxe Edition unlocks early access on August 15--three days early. For more, check out GameSpot's info on Madden 24's franchise and Superstar modes.
