Jon 'BabyKnight' Andersen returns to competitive Dota

Coming in to the realm of SC2 a short while after giving up on his Dota career, the Danish player has now decided to look to pursue a professional career in Dota 2. The former protoss player made his decision public on the Team Liquid forums in a thread where he talked about how his lack of results in SC2 made him make the call to transition back into Dota.

Recently, I started playing DotA again, and I realized that right now this is the game that I can play for almost unlimited amount of hours with no breaks. Whereas StarCraft II has become to me, a game that I have to force myself really hard to play. It's not that I've lost all my passion for StarCraft. It really isn't. I still love the game, the community and the tournaments. The problem is, if I don't practice, I can't do well enough in tournaments to satisfy myself I get really depressed and it's just not a healthy situation.

Andersen's peak in the original WC3 Dota came when he was able to reach a 3rd place finish at ESWC 2010 together with the newly rebuilt MYM roster that featured Jacob 'Maelk' Toft-Andersen and Brian 'MaNia' Strandby.

BabyKnight will play out his upcoming games in the 2014 WCS EU S2 Premier League, and his eventual Challenger League games before transitioning fully out of the scene. In his rather short career, his most memorable moments are probably from mid-to-late 2012 where he managed to defeat Choi 'Polt' Seong Hun at the second edition of the Lone Star Clash, and Jung 'Rain' Yoon Jong in the group stage of the BWC Grand FInals in Shanghai, China.
