Jojo's Venture Renamed

Capcom's upcoming Dreamcast adventure gets a slight name change for the US.

In a move tantamount to Capcom's prevailing sensibilities, the house that Street Fighter built today announced that the ludicrously named Jojo's Venture for the PlayStation, has now been renamed Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. To some gamers, the news seems just and fair, as that is the name of the original Japanese comic book on which the game is based. Interestingly, the Japanese arcade and Dreamcast versions already have the Bizarre Adventure suffix, with the differences between the original arcade title and it's pseudo-sequel being the addition of Heritage for the Future to the title's end.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure for both the PlayStation and the Dreamcast will be released in the US during Q1 of 2000.
