Big-name actor Johnny Depp will play antivirus software pioneer John McAfee in an upcoming movie about his life, according to a new report.

Deadline (via IGN) reports that Depp will play the part in the movie King of the Jungle, which will focus on his time at his compound in Belize. The movie will chronicle his time with Wired magazine writer on a journey involving "paranoia, machine guns, sex, and murder."

King of the Jungle will be directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (Crazy, Stupid, Love, Focus), with a script written by The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story's Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. The film does not yet have a release date, nor do we know who will star as the Wired writer.

McAfee, in real life, was wanted for questioning in connection with a murder in Belize. In 2015, he announced that he was considering running for President of the United States of America.

As for Depp, he plays Captain Jack Sparrow again in this May's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. You can watch the latest trailer for that movie here.
