Chad Stahelski suggests that Berry could come back in a "satellite" film.

John Wick director Chad Stahelski has confirmed that Oscar-winner Halle Berry, who starred in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, is interested in coming back to the John Wick universe. Stahelski also talked about the fate of John Wick himself, so obviously be aware that spoilers are coming.

Concerning Berry's involvement in future John Wick projects, Stahelski said on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast that Berry has been in talks "several times" to try to come back. He suggested Berry might return in a spinoff, or a "satellite" project, as he likes to say.

"Yeah. We have actually been in talks several times to try to... I hate the term spinoff. But they are trying to do other satellite projects off the Wick franchise. Hopefully they'll be good ones," Stahelski said.

In 2022, Berry told IGN that she might come back to play Sofia again in a John Wick spinoff dedicated to the character. "There could possibly be a Sofia...her own movie," Berry said. "So she might not be in John Wick, but she might be doing her own thingy-thingy."

In the Joe Rogan Experience interview, Stahelski sung Berry's praises and specifically called out her dedication to physical training and staying in shape.

Also in the interview, Stahelski discussed the fate of Keanu Reeves' John Wick. At the end of Chapter 4, Wick apparently died... or did he?

"Is John dead, or is John Wick dead? We don't know. We just don't know. [The ending is] supposed to be [ambiguous], yeah. We'll see how Keanu and the director feel in three or four years," Stahelski said about making a fifth John Wick movie with Reeves.

Stahelski said he and Reeves could meet up at some point to discuss making a fifth John Wick movie, but nothing is certain as of yet. In late May, movie studio Lionsgate confirmed a fifth John Wick movie is in development.

The original plan was to film John Wick 4 and 5 back to back, but Stahelski said he simply didn't have it in him, creatively, to make another one alongside the fourth.

While fans wait for a potential John Wick 5, Lionsgate is releasing a spinoff called Ballerina, which stars Ana de Armas. There is also a TV series called The Continental coming out soon.

In other news, a John Wick video game might be happening, with Lionsgate seeing a "ton of energy" around the project. In 2022, Lionsgate said the company believes "there is a big AAA game to be made out of John Wick," and that the film studio has fielded proposals for it.
