Jet Set Radio Revival Title Hover: Revolt Of Gamers Available Now

Jet Set Radio 2.0 is now available

After a successful Kickstarter that raised over $116,000 in 2014 and years in early access, Hover: Revolt of Gamers is finally available on PC, Mac, and Linux.

Three developers strong from Montpellier, France, Fusty Games took their love of Sega's 2000 hit Jet Set Radio and modernized it. In their world, all forms of videogames and entertainment are outlawed. You'll fight back against the oppression by vandalizing propaganda and helping citizens along the way with the same fun and familiar parkour moves of Jet Set Radio.

The game features nine different playable characters, two open world stages, four linear stages, and a multiplayer mode. In multiplayer, you'll be able to play competitively or cooperatively in races, chases, minigames and more.

Hover also features 17 original electronic songs by Jet Set Radio composer Hideki Naganuma. The full score is available as DLC.

To celebrate the launch, Hover will be 20 percent off $19.99 for a limited time.

Cant wait for Jet SEt Radio 2 , JSR was one of my fav games ever.

I really liked its single player though with different clans , modes and when police was chasing you. I hope this games single player meet those standards which it doesnt seems so

This game is not JSR2. Its not even good as JSR. One the music in JSR is way better. Two the gameplay in JSR is better.

Cmon GS are you even trying anymore?

@oflow: there already was a JSR2 and no one said this was it. 2.0 is a reference to a new version of the same concept from 3 of the developers from JSR. Are YOU even trying?

Wow, too bad it's not on Windows, but at least you can run it on a bare PC with no OS, also a Mac, and Linux

Nice that they got music from the JSR composer!

@girlusocrazy: What? How do you not know when anyone says PC they mean windows? It's only been that way for 20+ years now...

@girlusocrazy: You do know that since Windows is present in 97% of desktop computers, when someone says it is on "PC, Mac and Linux" they mean it is on "PC that runs on Windows, MacOS, or Linux", right? It is kind of pointless to stress out "Windows" in a PC universe.

@MigGui: Yeah but since PC could even mean a Mac or Chromebook or literally any other type of personal computer, and since Windows is running on all kinds of hardware from notebooks to phones to consoles to tablets (which are becoming more popular than an actual desktop PC) and pimping 'Play Anywhere' and UWP titles, it loses all meaning here, might as well just mention the OS it runs on

'PC' is an antiquated term from the 80s and 90s, especially as a synonym to 'Windows device'

It hasn't been a 'PC universe' for at least a decade now

@girlusocrazy: Dude, no self respecting person would split hairs like that. When it comes to gaming, PC automatically equates to Window. Pretty much everybody knows that.

@girlusocrazy: The very reason Windows is runing on phones, consoles and tablets and this game works on PCs, not phones, consoles and tablets kind of ruins your point here.

@MigGui: It works fine on tablets like the Surface, and yes this game is on console too, kinda supports what I'm saying... Why say all that when you could just say Windows 10?

This is nothing like Jet Set Radio. It looks like some lame MMO, with cheap character creation by just having all the characters be different colors. LAME.

@kaliskonig: I came here to mention this.

Seriously. Why not show your readers what part of the article is the name of the game? You just blend it in with the rest of the title. And this is far from the first time. It's really annoying.

@Litchie: At least it conveys what type of gameplay they are going for, to be fair they are literally trying to make it as close to JSR as they can

@nabinator: I played that game for the first time a few months ago and really loved it. I wish they would have ported it to the pc like they did with the first one, though, since it has some serious slowdown issues when played on the 360.

There's too much complaining, but I always liked the normal street areas the most. The other towers, docks and stuff were almost just a obligatory chore. At least from the looks of the trailer all the environments are up high in some abstract skyline and dropping means death, so that's not 10/10 material

This doesn't really look like futuristic Japan. It looks like abstract art, something that loans quite a bit from Rez and the like.
