Japanese Gamers Get Lunar Fix
Lunar Magic School and Lunar Eternal Blue are set to hit the Saturn in Japan.
Sega gamers in the US and Japan have followed Game Arts' unfolding RPG since the days of the Sega CD. With the Saturn, Game Arts has opted to remix the Lunar games, adding both animation and new story elements to the mix. Fortunately, the US will be seeing the first of those remixes courtesy of Working Designs, which is currently at work translating Lunar: The Silver Star Story for a US release.
The remix for Lunar Eternal Blue has taken much longer than that of the original game, and the first few details have emerged from Japan. The game will feature all-new animated sequences, dungeons, and a reworked story. The first few screenshots of this game were shown in ESP's Tokyo Game Show booklet.
One other Lunar game coming to Saturn is Lunar Magic School. The game was originally released in Japan as a Game Gear title. Game Arts is reworking that title as well for a Saturn release.
Hopefully, these new Lunar titles will make it to the US, but it's unclear at this time exactly what form those will take.
