Jak and Daxter reuniting Nov. 3

@TeenGamer92 I don't think so... from what I've heard you can't roll or high jump in either version, and the only real difference is possibly the graphics, and the dual analog sticks on the PS2.

If this is anything like Ratchet and Clank on the PSP this is easily worth a pickup. High Impact has been doing a great job so far.

@dwd 27 It's probably not on PS3 because they didn't want to do a complete graphical overhaul, like with Ratchet & Clank Future. They just wanted a return to what made the series great in the first place.

@Exactlamento to be fair Daxter was a spin-off not an attempt at a sequel but i do agree with everything you said about Jak-x it left a bad taste in your mouth.

I'm open to the addition of planes, but just as long as this is still a full-fledged platformer. I don't want to be in a flight simulator half the time when i'm playing Jak & Daxter, its not exactly what I want to do... As it is, i'm definitely looking forward to it (although a lot of that dialogue in the trailer was laughable - "we've ran out of world!", hopefully its not as bad throughout)

@geedotherodian by tarnish i mean it goes away from the roots of the series. Yes Daxter was a platformer and a damn good one at that, but it didn't have the tone, the characters, vehicles, and story that made the series. That and it was on the psp, not a system to host a truly "full-fleged" sequel. And btw i was mostly talking about the crappiness that is jak x. Bring us a true sequel Naughty Dog! No more half-baked contraptions!!

Well...I don't really like flight stimulators and they showed us too little of the gameplay on the ground...Hopefully they didn't change the gameplay too much.

I'd rather wait for Jak 4 (or 5 if they are counting X)

PS2 games still sell like crazy (i don't know where exactly, or who's buying, but the figures are there, and the units are moving). Makes perfect sense for this franchise to be the flagship title for PS2 this holiday season. And PSP-PS2 ports are cheap.

Shouldn't they be on the PS3 by now, if they aren't already? I think it's high time that the PS2 be put to rest, IMHO.

I would really like to see a Jak and Daxter on PS3! Of course, I wouldn't want to see any focus taken off of Uncharted 3 in the future! Hopefully with the impending success of Uncharted 2, Naughty Dog will be able to expand their studios and take on both projects! :D

i cant wait for this, finally another reason to dust off my PS2 and a CRT tv. They just never look as good upscaling with a PS3 and an HDTV.

Even though I'm sad this isn't for PS3 (think of the quality of Ratchet PS3 and then apply that to Jak!!!), I'm glad they're continuing the franchise. It's been far too long since I've been so excited for a platformer. Sorry Mario ;-)

good news, although this doesnt look as good as Daxter for PSP. That is one of my favorite games on the PSP.

If Naughty Dog put their full effort until a *real* fourth Jak and Daxter game for the PS3 they'd be rolling in it. Needs to happen.

This game is going to be awesome. However, I will wait until it's $5 to pick it up, which should be in only a few years...

This had me enthusiastic right up until I saw the part about it being done by the same people behind Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank. The former is mediocre at best...and the latter pretty much sucks, at least in the PS2 versions of them. :-/ Seems like the Spyro/Crash fiascos all over again--they need to leave the properties with the original companies.

Don't care about this, it probably won't be that great... I'm just waiting for the PS3 Jak n Daxter, which will be 10/10 Somehow I can't see it happening for at least another couple of years
