It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Gets First Trailer For Season 15

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has released a new trailer for its upcoming 15th season, which will premiere on December 1 on FXX at 10 PM ET and stream the next day on FX on Hulu.

Based on the new clip, Sunny can always be counted on to be Sunny. They already promised in 2020 that the outrageous sitcom will address COVID-19 in future episodes, but this new trailer spends more time teasing episodes that will also touch on Jeffrey Epstein sex scandal (via Frank, who used to snorkel on his island), the Harvey Weinstein sex scandal (via Dee, who is now running a questionable acting clinic), and the Catholic Church's sex scandal (via Mac, who returns to investing his time into religion). The gang will also be heading to Ireland at some point (because it's a sitcom and travel episodes are a thing). Check out the new trailer below.

Although the pandemic didn't feature heavily in this trailer, it's safe to assume the Sunny episode should be a high point for the season. Co-stars Charlie Day and Rob McElhenney's Apple TV+ series Mythic Quest--which satirizes the gaming and tech industries--quickly adapted the workplace comedy in 2020 to the pandemic. That series had not one, but two specials between seasons exploring, as McElhenney put it, "the practical and emotional difficulties" of adapting to work from home and then "returning to normalcy."

Sunny was renewed through to Season 18 last year, making it the longest running scripted live-action sitcom of all time in television history.
