You've just crushed the quadrant with a massive starship offensive. What are you going to do? Build a new quadrant, thanks to the new Homeworld 2 mod toolkit!

Available via the Relic Developer's Network (registration required), the toolkit will let gamers create their own ships, levels, single-player campaigns, and multiplayer maps for the real-time strategy title. "The quality of work produced by Relic fans in the modding community has blown us away, and we want to do as much as we can to facilitate their efforts," said Homeworld 2 assistant producer Geoff Thomas.

The sequel to Relic's award-winning 1999 Homeworld, Homeworld 2 follows the further struggles of the Hiigarans, who, after reclaiming their ancestral star system, must now defend it against the Vaygr, a hyperaggressive race from the fringes of the galaxy.
