Is $15 the sweet spot for Capcom's new Strider?
Capcom confirms Strider coming to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC this month for $15.
Resident Evil publisher Capcom today announced that its new Metroidvania-style Strider game will launch later this month for consoles and PC. Simply titled Strider, the game comes to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on February 18, while the Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC versions will arrive the next day.
All versions of Strider will sell for $15.
Capcom also revealed two new Challenge Modes for Strider called Beacon Run and Survival. Beacon Run is a speed run-style mode that challenges you to record the fastest time while killing as many enemies as possible. Meanwhile, in Survival mode you'll face waves of increasingly difficult enemies who are outfitted with unique loadouts.
Finally, Capcom said that the new Strider game will support global leaderboards for Challenge modes and the main story campaign, and you'll be able to unlock various costumes for main character Hiryu.
Capcom announced the new Strider game during San Diego Comic-Con last summer. The game was developed by Double Helix, the studio also behind Xbox One free-to-play fighting game Killer Instinct.
