Interact Gets Sega Blessing

Interact Accessories announces that it will soon team up with Sega to produce officially licensed peripherals for the Dreamcast.

Interact Accessories announced on Wednesday that it will soon partner with Sega of Japan and Sega of America to develop licensed accessories for the Dreamcast console. The company has sent a signed letter of intent to Sega and expects to release a formal announcement of the partnership. in mid-January. Reportedly, peripherals for the year 2000 from Interact will include proprietary technology and feedback provided directly from Sega.

"We're looking forward to receiving a license from Sega to produce Dreamcast accessories," said Todd Hays, InterAct's founder and president. "The Dreamcast has been an awesome success in North America and Europe, with more than 1.5 million units sold before the 1999 holiday season reached its peak.

Interact's current line of Dreamcast peripherals includes the Fission Fishing Controller, the StarFighter LightBlaster, and the AstroPad.
