The UK-based game publisher Codemasters announced today that it has inked a deal with Infogrames to have its games distributed in North America. The deal gives Infogrames the rights to publish 17 of Codemasters' games over the next 12 months in North America with the first game in the deal to be Operation Flashpoint for the PC.

"We are confident that this new distribution deal with Infogrames will serve our best interest in the North American territories, and having worked closely with Infogrames president Denis Guyennot in the past, I am sure we will achieve all of our goals," commented Sebastien Soulier, president of Codemasters US. "Our excitement is heightened by the fact that the first product to be shipped under this partnership will be a game as highly anticipated as Operation Flashpoint."
