LucasArts has announced an agreement with California-based game developer The Collective, the studio that created Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: The Fallen, to create the next game based on the popular action film hero Indiana Jones. The game is scheduled for release this fall on the PC and console game platforms. The game will feature an all-new story set in some of the world's most exotic locations. It will be built on The Collective's proprietary game engine, and it will feature fast-paced fighting action and challenging puzzles.

We'll have more information about the upcoming game as it becomes available. In related news, Steven Spielberg recently confirmed that he will create a fourth Indiana Jones film, starring Harrison Ford and Kate Capshaw, according to FOXNews.com. No title or release date for the film has been announced.
