French mobile-game publisher In-Fusio has acquired the German firm Mobile Scope, also a publisher of games for mobile phones, officials announced today. Just a week ago, In-Fusio acquired the American mobile-game company Thumbworks.

Mobile Scope will be integrated into In-Fusio's publishing division, and its former CEO, Jürgen Goeldner, is now In-Fusio's executive vice president of publishing. The move increases In-Fusio's employee base to 230 worldwide.

"Just after the purchase of Thumbworks, the acquisition of Mobile Scope perfectly matches our strategy to deliver entertaining content for mobile phones and services dedicated to players' communities," said In-Fusio CEO Giles Corbett. "The outstanding quality of the Mobile Scope team and its experience in the management of third-party developers are major assets."

In-Fusio will now publish Mobile Scope's games, which are based on classic PC games or films like Die Hard and Ice Age. In-Fusio's own lineup includes games affiliated with the films South Park, Jurassic Park, and The Terminator and with the game Tomb Raider. Thumbworks' games include Etch-A-Sketch and Suzuki Motocross.

Since its launch six years ago, In-Fusio has opened offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Moscow, and Shanghai, and it has struck licensing deals with Microsoft, Universal Studios, and Comedy Central. Its games are available through major wireless providers such as Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T. Other customers include Vodafone D2, Orange France and UK, and China Mobile.
