Impressive Final Fantasy 15 Engine Videos and Promo Images Released

Square Enix has released a number of new Final Fantasy 15 screenshots and videos, showing off both the game and the technology powering it. The images, which you can see in the gallery below, are a mixture of in-game assets and promotional art.

Included among them are shots of the four main characters, Noctis, Prompto, Gladiolus, and Ignis, as well as conceptual art for their car, The Regalia. There's also a few marketing images for Final Fantasy 15 tie-in products such as the movie, Kingsglaive, and the anime, Brotherhood: Final Fantasy 15.

The videos, meanwhile, show off the research Final Fantasy 15's developers did to create in-game activities such as cooking, and some of the environments they visited for inspiration. There's also a look at the inner workings of Luminous Studio, the engine powering the game. It's a nice showcase of the how impressive the world looks with day/night cycles and wild animals wandering the wilderness.

Finally, those that preorder Final Fantasy 15 at Amazon will be able to get access to exclusive in-game items through an event called Road Trip. After preordering you'll receive a golden Chocobo skin for the Regalia. Then, by visiting the Final Fantasy Road Trip website, you'll be able to complete cooking, fishing, and combat trials, which "brings you closer to earning DLC."

The exclusive items available for completing these quests include the Blazefire Saber from Final Fantasy 13, the Mage Mashers weapon from Final Fantasy 9, and the Gae Bolg from Final Fantasy 14. To see everything on offer through the Final Fantasy 15 Road Trip promotion, watch the video below.

In other news about Final Fantasy, 24-year Square Enix veteran Yusuke Naora recently announced his departure from the studio. His last project was Final Fantasy 15, on which he served as art director. Additionally, Microsoft has confirmed that Final Fantasy 15 will have HDR support on Xbox One S.
