IMagic Going to iMac

WarBirds is announced to take flight on the latest iMac and G3 systems. Does that make IMagic's name change to iMagic?

Comments

Interactive Magic announced that it will port WarBirds to the iMac and Power Mac G3 systems, and that those ports will be released before the end of the first quarter ‘99.

The Mac versions of the game will also be bundled with Saitek's upcoming Cyborg joystick.

WarBirds uses I-Magic's MEGAplayer technology, which enables 200 or more players to engage in a single game at one time, and its companion MEGAvoice technology, which allows those players to speak to one another.

Apple says that more than 800,000 iMac computer units have been sold since the platform shipped to stores last summer, which makes the system the fastest selling in Apple's history.

WarBirds joins a horde of other games coming over to the Mac, many of which were announced at last week's Macworld Expo.
