Ubi Soft has announced that IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles has gone gold and will ship on March 4. Forgotten Battles is the sequel to the acclaimed World War II flight combat game IL-2 Sturmovik. Forgotten Battles features many new flyable planes, including bombers and torpedo planes. There's a new dynamic single-player campaign consisting of 20 missions, and there are also 10 cooperative missions and multiplayer maps.

"Fans of the original IL-2: Sturmovik, as well as newcomers, should be thrilled with the sheer amount of new content in this sequel," said Matt Wagner, producer at Ubi Soft. "From the new dynamic campaign, to the new maps dedicated to multiplayer, and dozens of added features, there's a lot for sim fans to enjoy."
