Treasure updated its official site with news that Ikaruga is indeed coming to the GameCube and that Infogrames Japan will be handling the publishing. In addition, Treasure plans to add GameCube-specific features as development on the game progresses. Of course, Treasure also plans to release a Dreamcast version of Ikaruga, which will feature an illustration gallery and a sound mode, as well as an adjusted display with two black bars on the side to compensate for Ikaruga's transition to a regular TV.

The GameCube version of Ikaruga is scheduled for release in Japan in January 2003. The Dreamcast version is still on track for a September 5 release.
