Quake III: Gold Edition, Ultimate Quake, and Doom: Collector's Edition are now available in stores.

Id Software has announced the release of three special edition collections: Quake III: Gold Edition, Ultimate Quake, and Doom: Collector's Edition. All three products feature some of id Software's most popular first-person shooters. Quake III: Gold Edition is a PC/Mac hybrid CD that features the full version of Quake III Arena and Quake III: Team Arena, and it is available in stores for an approximate retail price of $29.99. Ultimate Quake, which is also available for $29.99, includes the full versions of Quake, Quake II, and Quake III Arena. Doom: Collector's Edition features The Ultimate Doom, Doom II, and Final Doom, and it is available for $19.99.

Quake: The Offering and Quake II: Quad Damage are better ways to get, well, Quake I and II. That is, if you can find them. Otherwise, get 'em on Steam. Id has all of their good stuff on Steam (except Quake 4, but nobody misses that one, right?).
