Icewind Dale II ships to stores
The wait for Interplay's next D&D role-playing game is over.
Interplay has just announced that the sequel to its popular role-playing game, Icewind Dale, is now shipping and should be available in stores nationwide by the end of the week. The game runs off the aging Infinity engine that dates back to 1998, but it is only the third PC game on the market to use the 3rd Edition Dungeons & Dragons rules. The game builds upon the original Icewind Dale by adding new character classes, weapons, spells, villains, monsters, and of course, an entirely new quest. Additionally, the game takes place an entire generation after the events of the original game, and as such, it features entirely new locations that were unavailable in Icewind Dale and its expansion, Heart of Winter.
Icewind Dale II comes with a suggested retail price of $49.99. Stay tuned for our full review, or check out our previous coverage of the game.
