Ice Age Collision Course Gets New Trailer, Featuring Neil Degrasse Tyson

Fox has released a new trailer for Ice Age: Collision Course, the fifth film in the longrunning animated series. This time around, Sid, Manny, and Diego must again leave their home to go on a journey to save the world from an impending meteor strike. Check out the new trailer below, featuring an opening narration by astrophysicist Neil Degrasse Tyson.

John Leguizamo (Sid), Ray Romano (Manny), and Denis Leary (Diego) return as the main characters, with Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Simon Pegg, Keke Palmer, Wandy Sykes, Jennifer Lopez, and Queen Latifah rounding out the principal cast.

Collision Course is directed by Ice Age veterans Mike Thurmeier and Galen Chu. It opens on July 22.

The Ice Age series started in 2002. It proved to be a hit, and sequels The Meltdown (2006), Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009), and Continental Drift (2012) came later. Altogether, the franchise has generated more than $2.8 billion, according to Variety.
