Canopy Games and Valusoft have today shipped I Was an Atomic Mutant to stores across North America. The budget-priced action game allows players to assume control of monsters inspired by the B movies of the '50s and '60s, including Reptomicus, the brain from beyond infinity, She Beast, and the invader from Dimension X.

Each of the movie monsters has its own arsenal of special moves with which to destroy the puny humans who infest the game's levels. Death rays, X-cannons, sonic screams, eye blasts, stomps, fireballs, atomic bites, and psi-punches are the order of the day as players attempt to destroy all the significant structures in each level. Enemies in the game come in the form of human armed forces consisting of infantry, armoured cars, tanks, jet fighters, bombers, and experimental aircraft.

I Was an Atomic Mutant is in stores now.
