Humble Bundle 3 takes in over $1,000,000
Name-your-price charity game offer reaches new sales milestone in first week; free Steel Storm, timed Minecraft play added.
Last week, the third annual Humble Indie Bundle went live, recording six-digit revenues on its first day. Now, the name-your-price charity promotion has added a seventh digit to its overall haul, as well as a pair of additional games.
As of press time, the Humble Bundle 3 has taken in more than $1,000,000 from over 200,000 purchases. In addition to reaching the new sales milestone, the Humble Bundle 3 now has new games for users to pick up.
In addition to And Yet It Moves, Hammerfight, VVVVVV, Cogs, and Crayon Physics Deluxe, gamers who purchase the collection will also score a free copy of Steel Storm. Further, those who pick up the pack will be able to play indie hit Minecraft for free until August 14, the day the Humble Bundle 3 offer ends.
The Humble Indie Bundle lets gamers not only name their price for the collection of five independent games, but they can also choose how the proceeds are to be divided among developers, the Child's Play charity, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and the promotion's organizers.
