Season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is live, adding a new battle pass, more maps, modes, and bundles. The update also includes five new perks to multiplayer, but first you'll need to unlock them. Here we'll explain how all the new perks work and how to acquire them.

Gunslinger Vest

The new Gunslinger vest is a new vest option that takes away the primary weapon slot but gives you a boost to stamina, sprinting, and reloading with the following bonuses:

How to unlock the Gunslinger Vest perk

You must select the Gunslinger Vest as an active challenge in the Armory Unlock System, and then complete eight daily challenges to unlock this perk. These new perks are not auto-selected for the new season. You must manually select the perk in the Armory Unlock menu.

Modular Assault Rig

The Modular Assault Rig is a new vest option that is geared towards supplying you with max ammo and the ability to scavenge lethal and tactical equipment from dead players with the following bonuses:

  • Deploy with max ammo for all primary weapons and pistols
  • Resupply lethal and tactical equipment from dead players

The Modular Assault Rig perk is unlocked by manually setting it as an active challenge in the Armory Unlock System, and then completing five daily challenges.

Compression Carrier

The Compression Carrier perk is a new vest that provides you with assisted healing and gas protection with the following bonuses:

  • Immediate health regen after a primary, secondary, or throwing knife/star kill. Objective captures also trigger health regen
  • Reduces strength of enemy stun, flash, and gas grenades
  • Immunity to shock, EMP, and snapshot grenades

How to unlock the Compression Carrier perk

To unlock this new perk, you must manually select the Compression Carrier as an active challenge in the Armory Unlock System, and then complete eight daily challenges.

Reinforced Boots

Reinforced Boots is a new boot item that provides you immunity to movement-reduction effects such as the slowed movement from stuns and gas grenades.

You must manually set Reinforced Boots as an active challenge in the Armory Unlock System, and then complete five daily challenges.

High-Gain Antenna

High-Gain Antenna is a new gear perk option that zooms out your minimap and provides more intel with the following bonuses:

  • The minimap is zoomed out for you and nearby allies
  • Enemies firing unsilenced weapons remain on the minimap for longer for you and nearby allies if a nearby ally has the CCT Comms Vest perk
  • You and nearby allies see nearby ally radar pings from Data Jacker and compass indicators from nearby ally Signal Jammers

How to unlock the High-Gain Antenna perk

High-Gain Antenna is unlocked by manually setting the perk as an active challenge in the Armory Unlock System, and then completing five daily challenges.
