How To Unlock Anthem Legion Of Dawn And Pre-Order Bonuses
Get your loot lust on.
Following a week-long early access period for some on PC and Xbox One, Anthem's release day has arrived. The new RPG shooter from BioWare is officially live for all players, and if you pre-ordered or opted for the premium Legion of Dawn edition, you're entitled to some bonuses in the game. These aren't immediately granted to you the second you boot it up; here's what you have to do to claim them.
An EA help page details the steps for claiming various rewards. During early access, only Legion of Dawn rewards were available, and only to Origin Access Premier members. Pre-order bonuses weren't available until now that the game is officially out. Provided you're eligible, these can be equipped in the Forge (for equipment) or the Squad menu (for banners). The digital soundtrack CD on Origin should download automatically, but if not, you can find it under Extra Content in your Game Library.
The process for unlocking your Legion of Dawn loot seems simple enough. It's just a matter of gaining access to Prospero's store and then claiming your loot from the helpfully named "Rewards" tab. To reach that point you just need to complete the tutorials, followed by Prospero's mission. You'll have to go to the Forge to equip them, or to the Squad screen to equip your banner.
Our Anthem review is now live. In it, Kallie Plagge writes, "Anthem has good ideas, but it struggles significantly with the execution. It's a co-op game that works best with no one talking; it buries genuinely interesting character moments and puts its most incomprehensible story bits at the forefront; its combat is exciting until you get to the boss fights and find your wings have been clipped. Even the simple, exhilarating act of flying is frequently interrupted by the limitations of your javelin, and you never quite shake that feeling of disappointment--of knowing, throughout the good parts of Anthem, that you'll inevitably come crashing back down."
