The upcoming Warlords of Draenor expansion for World of Warcraft will include one free character upgrade to the current level cap of 90, but how much would you pay for another?

Blizzard asked that very question to past and current subscribers of the industry leading MMO as part of a survey obtained by Polygon this week. The feature would conceivably be attractive for a time-restricted player, as it would allow you to jump back in an experience new content without spending the time to level your character.

Importantly, the fact that Blizzard has referenced such a feature for World of Warcraft in this survey does not mean the option will certainly come to fruition. But if it does, it will be the latest way in which Blizzard offers additional micropayments on top of the game's $15/month subscription fee.

Blizzard also sells in-game pets, mounts, and helms, as well as various game services like name changes and character appearance alterations for fees ranging from $5-$30.

The World of Warcraft survey also asks fans about a new form of the game's annual pass program, as well as how likely they are to purchase the Warlords of Draenor expansion at several price points. These include $39 or $49 for the expansion with a level 90 upgrade or $39 for the expansion and no level upgrade.

Blizzard announced Warlords of Draenor during BlizzCon in November. The expansion adds seven new zones, raises the level cap to 100, and will eventually introduce new animations for all eight of the original races, as well as the Draenei and Blood Elves.

World of Warcraft currently has 7.6 million subscribers, more than 9 years after the game's original release in November 2004.
