How Long Is Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy?

Here's how long Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is, the latest action-adventure superhero game from developer Eidos-Montréal.

Comments

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is an action-adventure game featuring the titular team, in which you take control of Peter Quill, aka Star Lord, and direct your four allies in combat. The game is available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

How long does it take to beat Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy?

If you're hoping for an open world (or, I guess in this case, open galaxy) experience, keep on looking. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is a linear game. There are moments where you can take a few minutes to go off the main path to search for optional collectibles (like cosmetics for Peter, Gamora, Groot, Drax, and Rocket) but they aren't significant detours.

Now Playing: The First 30 Minutes of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (4K)

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is divided into chapters, each of which lasts anywhere between 45 to 75 minutes. Overall, it will take you about 16 hours, though you may find the runtime fluctuating depending on whether you search for all of the game's collectibles or adjust the difficulty. On higher difficulties, enemies can endure quite a bit of punishment and that can cause fights to drag out.

In our Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy review, we scored the game a 7/10, writing, "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy doesn't feature an engaging combat system, save for the moments where the team huddles provide a loose connection to the much more engaging narrative theme of the strength of communication. The game instead shines via its storytelling, which is enhanced by a talented collection of voice actors and a wonderful soundtrack. If this game is your introduction to the titular heroes, it's not the best first impression, but sometimes when the galaxy needs to be saved, you can settle for good enough."
