Hotel Transylvania: Transformania Delivers Body Swap Monster Laughs
The fourth movie in the Hotel Transylvania hits theaters in July.
The first trailer for Hotel Transylvania: Transformania is here. The fourth movie in the popular animated horror comedy franchise hits theaters in July.
The new movie is set once more in the monster hotel of the title and focuses on the human Johnny (Andy Sandberg), and his desire to become a monster to fit in with his adopted family. Luckily, Van Helsing (Jim Gaffigan) is on hand with his experimental Monsterfication Ray, which transforms Johnny into a hideous creature.
Unfortunately, the ray also has the opposite effect on monsters, and soon humans and monsters are switching places. That includes Johnny's adopted dad Dracula, who is horrified to lose his fangs and become mortal. It looks every bit as funny as the previous movies--check the trailer out below:
Hotel Transylvania: Transformania also stars Selena Gomez, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, and David Spade. The one cast member not returning however is Adam Sandler, who played Dracula in the other films. This time the role is played by Brian Hull.
The movie is directed by Jennifer Kluska and Derek Drymon, and written by Genndy Tartakovsky, who helmed the previous three films. It releases on July 23.
