Hot Shots Golf Fore! E3 2004 Preshow Impressions

The latest installment in Clap Hanz's popular golf franchise is coming, and it will introduce online support to the series. The game offers four-player split-screen play and support for even more players in the online mode. You can play head-to-head against other players, join in on real-time online tournaments, and participate in community features to chat with other players online.

Hot Shots Golf Fore! will boost features in all areas, with more courses, golfers, and prizes. Miniature golf is even making a return. Fore! will have a full cast of 34 clubhouse characters from which to choose your golfer and caddy, including some familiar faces from popular PlayStation 2 franchises. The 15 courses are designed to offer a variety of challenges, from full 18-hole links to par-three executive courses.

As always, Fore! sports a fast-paced arcade style to keep things moving, practically eliminating slow load times and slow foursomes. A full physics system means winning requires a careful touch and consideration of variables like wind, ball lie, and course elevation. As you delve into the game, you'll find a few game modes to keep you going, including a tour full of tournaments, individual tournaments, versus mode, and free practice.
