Hogwarts Legacy Release Times Announced For Early Access

The magic begins.

The new Harry Potter video game, Hogwarts Legacy, releases very soon after years of development, multiple delays, and controversy surrounding author J.K. Rowling. Developer Avalanche Software has now announced when, exactly, people can start playing the much-anticipated fantasy game.

Early access for the game begins Tuesday, February 7 for those who purchase the more expensive deluxe edition. The game unlocks at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on February 7 on PC. On console, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players can get jump in at midnight local time in their region.

The Hogwarts Legacy standard edition launches three days later on February 10. The game comes to PS4 and Xbox One in April, while the Nintendo Switch edition is set for release in July 2023.

Fans have been waiting a long time for Hogwarts Legacy, as it was originally slated to arrive in 2021 before being shifted to 2022 and then again to 2023.

The game is developed by Avalanche Software, the team behind the Disney Infinity series that worked on that franchise until it was canceled. Warner Bros. Games acquired the studio in 2017.
