Now Playing: GS News Update: Hitman Episode 3 Release Date and Details Revealed

Hitman's third episode, Marrakesh, will launch on May 31, developer IO Interactive announced today. It follows episodes set in Paris and Sapienza; this time, the action takes place in Morocco.

"We knew that Marrakesh had to be something extraordinary, so the team set out to build a location that was both teeming with life and with things to do," IO's community manager Travis Barbour said in a post on the PlayStation Blog.

"Marrakesh has been built with a maze of alleys, a range of souks that line the medina walls, and a fully fletched shisha café," he explained. "Moving upwards, players can enjoy the shade on the signature rooftop terraces of Marrakesh."

There will be two targets to take down in the Marrakesh episode as part of the "Gilded Age" mission. One of these is a private banker named Claus Strandberg, who is hiding out in the Swedish Consulate building. The other target is General Reza Zaydan, who is surrounded by an "elite squad" of guards in the middle of the city.

"Both targets will be challenging to reach and both will of course have some entertaining special moments attached to them that will allow players to dole out some poetic justice," Barbour explained.

In addition to the main mission, Marrakesh adds "a lot more live content," including a "wide range of challenges and opportunities," Barbour said. Additionally, there will be additional Elusive Targets and Escalation Contracts to take on.

Some new Marrakesh screenshots have also been released; check them out in the gallery above.

Marrakesh is Hitman's third episode. If pricing follows from the second chapter, Sapienza, you can expect Marrakesh to cost $10 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can also get all six episodes through the $60 "full experience" package.

Looking forward to this and this Friday's Elusive contracts! The last 4 weeks they have been continuously release new escalation(quality ones), episodes and Elusive contracts in a timely fashion. Always feels like there is something new every few days. Unlike the first 6 weeks or so of release.

So far this game should be called:

H i t _ _ _

Like the name suggests, this game will be complete when all 6 episodes are released.

This "way" of release a game is retarded. Same with FF7 remake. If i buy a game, i want to play it, not wait for the next episode. I'll never support this kind of business.

@wtf_666: The retail version (which contains all content) will be released next year. Pretty sad, if you ask me.

I'm very curious to see the numbers of how many of each episode they sell. Do the numbers go up or down with each new episode or are they staying static?

@straightcur: Obviously it will cost more to buy them separately, the sold for like £30 on the PC for all the upcoming episodes.
