Eidos Interactive has confirmed that its third-person action game Hitman: Codename 47 has gone gold and will arrive in stores sometime next week. The game was developed by Danish studio IO Interactive, and it places the player in the role of a genetically cloned assassin. The character's skills improve over the course of the game, allowing him to use the diverse selection of weapons featured. In addition to the traditional assortment of pistols, shotguns, and assault rifles, Hitman also includes knives, explosives, and piano wire. Hitman: Codename 47 will be available in stores next week for a suggested retail price of US$39.99.
