Hitman 2, IO Interactive's upcoming sequel to the series' 2016 reboot, arrives this fall and takes Agent 47 to a range of new locations across the globe, but players will also be able to revisit some familiar areas from his previous outing. The developer has announced that the maps from 2016's Hitman will be brought back for the sequel, and they'll be updated with many of the new features that game is introducing.

All six locations from the previous Hitman title--Paris, Sapienza, Marrakesh, Bangkok, Colorado, and Hokkaido--will be released for Hitman 2 as part of the Hitman Legacy Pack DLC. IO hasn't announced pricing details for the DLC yet, but those who own 2016's Hitman will be able to download the updated maps in Hitman 2 for free.

The returning maps will all incorporate new gameplay elements from Hitman 2, including a new progression system, the ability to hide in foliage and use mirrors strategically, and a picture-in-picture mode. They will also be playable on new difficulty levels and feature new items such as Agent 47's briefcase, dart gun, flash grenades, and more.

Hitman 2 launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 13; those who purchase the Gold or Collector's editions will get to play several days early, starting November 9. Unlike the previous Hitman game, which released across multiple episodes, Hitman 2's entire story will be playable from launch, with additional locations, missions, and other content coming down the line.

If you pre-order any edition of Hitman 2 ahead of its release, you'll get immediate access to the standalone Sniper Assassin mode. This mode can be played either solo or cooperatively and challenges players to assassinate targets within a time limit using a sniper rifle.
