Hip Europe stays the course
As its Canadian owner claims bankruptcy, Euro-based subsidiary says it will take over publishing duties on all games.
Hip Interactive Europe, the London-based subsidiary of Hip Interactive in Ontario, Canada, said in a statement today that it would take over the reins and continue to lead the effort to publish upcoming games, including George A. Romero's City of the Dead, Ghost Wars, and Call of Cthulhu Destiny's End, which are all due next calendar year. The company also reiterated that Rugby Challenge 2006 and Garfield: Saving Arlene are both still slated for a late-September '05 release. Earlier this week, Hip Interactive Canada said it was in receivership (bankrupt), was unable to pay its debts, and will soon be dissolved as a business entity.
